Ramesh Aravind, a storehouse of talent first burst onto the small screen with the programme Parichaya on Doordarshan. As an energetic young man, endowed with the gift of the gab, Ramesh found instant popularity amongst the viewers in the early 80s. He charmed the audience with his wit and humour, and introduced the various facets of life.

The small screen beckoned him once again; this time he hosted "Preethiyinda Ramesh", which was the top programme on Kasturi channel.
